You are a biomedical engineer for Company X and you are utilizing a static mixer to mix two compatible polymers to be used in a prosthetic prototype. The mixer looks like the one in Figure 5.20 from the textbook. The two polymers are fed into the mixer at thickness of 2.5 mm each and they go through 15 mixer sections. How many striations are created in the final output of the static mixer? What is the thickness of a single striation/layer?
