Problem 8 13 Air Enters A Compressor At Ambient Conditions Of 100kpa And 20 C At A Rate Of 4 5 M3 S With A Low Velocity 1 (70.78 KiB) Viewed 32 times
Problem 8.13: Air enters a compressor at ambient conditions of 100kPa and 20∘C at a rate of 4.5 m3/s with a low velocity, and exits at 900kPa,60∘C, and 80 m/s. The compressor is cooled by cooling water that experiences a temperature rise of 10∘C. The second-law efficiency of the compressor is 70 percent. Determine (a) the actual and reversible power inputs, (b) the mass flow rate of the cooling water.
