a) Define the Eulerian and Lagrangian descriptions of fluid motion? Would you choose the Lagrangian method of fluid flow analysis to study of a system or a control volume? Explain. b) Name and briefly describe the four fundamental types of motion or deformation of fluid particles. c) What are the similarities and differences between the material derivative and the Reynolds transport theorem? 1 d) Mention the three major assumptions used in the derivation of the Bernoulli equation? Also, define static, dynamic, and hydrostatic pressure. Under what conditions the summation of these pressures is constant for a flow stream? e) Is momentum a vector? If so, in what direction does it point? Also, Express the conservation of momentum principle.
