The figure (not drawn to scale) shows a state of stress in a xy frame of reference. Given direct stresses σz​=70MPa and σy​=30MPa, and shear stress τng​=5MPa, calculate the principal stresses (σmax​,σmin​, and the angle θp​, at which they occur.
