Problem #2: Hydrogen gas (H2) enters an adiabatic compressor at 540R and 14.7psia at a volumetric flow rate of 15ft3/s. The hydrogen is compressed such that the outlet temperature is 1200R at 100psia. Assuming SSSF operation, determine: a) mass flow rate of hydrogen through the compressor in lbm/s,b ) the power input to the compressor in hp,c) the rate of entropy generation in Btu/R. For this problem hydrogen can be modeled as an Ideal Gas with constant specific heat at the average temperature.
