Pathway Assignment 3 General: Pathway maps should include: 1. Chemical structures of all reactants and products of all biochemical steps in the pathway. Structures of ATP, ADP, NAD, NADH, NADP, NADPH do not need to be drawn out. 2. The name of the enzyme catalyzing each reaction of the pathway. 3. Identification of typical regulatory steps and common activators and inhibitors of the regulatory step. 4. Pathway maps should be hand-drawn on one side of 8.5" x 11" or larger paper. For Pathway Map 3: 1. Redraw the citric acid cycle. Include structures, compound names and enzyme names, but not regulation. For the following pathways, show how they connect to citric acid cycle intermediates. 2. Fatty acid degradation (include lipases and activation/transport). 3. Fatty acid synthesis (to palmitate). 4. Triacylglycerol biosynthesis. 5. Phosphatidyl choline biosynthesis. After completing your pathway map take a picture and upload in jpg or pdf format.
