7.33 A bed of burning coal in a furnace radiates as a plane rectangular black surface, 3 m by 2 m, at 1500°C, to an opaque bank of black tubes of the same projected area. These are at a surface temperature of 300°C and at such a distance from the fire bed that the shape factor is 0.5. Determine the net radiant heat flow to the tube bank and show that enclosing the furnace with adiabatic vertical black walls increases the heat flow by 50 per cent.
