Grams of protein/day (x) 4 6.5 5 5.5 8 10 9 8.2 10.5 Diastolic BP (y) 73 79 83 82 84 92 88 86 95 a. Use your calculator to find the correlation coefficient, r. b. Use the critical values of the Pearson Correlation Coefficient (r) to determine whether the linear correlation is significant. Use a=.05. c. If the linear correlation is significant, find linear regression (using your calculator), and use it to predict the diastolic BP of a vegetarian who consumes 8 grams of protein per day.
