Consider an untwisted, untapered wing of rectangular planform.
The chord length is 2 units and the span is 20 units. The wing uses
NACA 0012 airfoil. The angle of attack is 2 degrees. The wing is
swept back at 45 degrees.
a) Draw the planform you would use if you wish to analyze this
wing at very low speeds and subsonic speeds –at freestream M∞=0 and
at M∞=0.3.
b) How does compressibility affect the overall lift coefficient
CL and overall drag coefficient CD at these two Mach numbers?
