- 2. [45 points] MATLAB Simulation: The continuous-time signal x(t) = 4sin(2nt + 31t?) is sampled with T. The = 0.01 s. Then the sampled signal is applied to the PCM system. In the PCM system, n-bit uniform quantization method is utilized and the quantization levels are chosen in the middle of the quantization steps. a) Plot x(t), and sampled signal xs(t) for the interval 0 st 52. b) Plot the quantization function with the range [-4 4] for n = 3. c) Plot the quantized signal xq(t). d) Plot quantization error (ng(t) = x(t) – xq(t)). e) Plot normalized histogram of the quantization error. f) Write the encoded bits for the first 10 samples. g) Calculate the signal-to-quantization noise ratio. h) Repeat from (b) to (g) for n = 6.
