A 1300 nm optical communication link uses a 50 km optical fiber and requires at least 0.3 u W at the receiver. The fiber loss is 0.5 dB/km. Fiber is spliced every 5 km and has two connectors of 1 dB loss at both ends. Splice loss is only 0.2 dB. Estimate the total loss in this system link.
