According to Section 2308.4.6 of the 2018 International Building
Code, would a 24-foot long 2x14 floor
joists spaced at 16” O.C. require bridging (also called blocking)?
If yes, how many rows of bridging
would be required assuming the ends are adequately braced via a rim
joist?
