is rotated at an angle 𝜽 anticlockwise to vertical. There is no
normal stress acting on plane b-b’.
Given 𝝈_x = 14 MPa [T] 𝝈_y = 20 MPa [C].
a) Calculate the angle, 𝜽, in degrees such that 0° ≤ 𝜽 ≤ 90°.
b) Determine and draw the shear stress on this inclined plane
b-b’.
c) Draw the stress state on the element with the maximum in-plane
shear stress at this point.
PLEASE SOLVE USING Mohr’s Circle Method.
