75 kN/m (total factored load) I 200 450 550 Design the bending and shear reinforcement of the tapered cantilever beam of width b = 300 mm and as shown in Fig. 1 using grade 30 concrete, grade 460 steel for flexural reinforcement and grade 250 steel for shear reinforcement (i) without any curtailment of bending reinforcement and (ii) redesign the bending and shear reinforcement if some of the bars are curtailed at section 2-2 of the beam based on the requirement to resist bending moment at that section.
