QUESTION 4 a) Critically evaluate the various methods by which noise can be controlled. (10 marks) a) Calculate the attenuation due to a sound barrier which is 3.5m tall, and which is placed between a sound source and a receiver. The sound source is 0.5m above ground level, and the receiver is 1.2m above ground level. The horizontal distance between the sound source and the receiver is 7m, and the horizontal distance from the sound source to the barrier is 2m.
