A company is going to introduce a new cell phone. ABC Cell
Services is going to sell the phones and has established lower and
upper specification limits of 5.0 ounces and 5.5 ounces
respectively for the weight of the phone. The company
currently has determined that its phones currently weigh 5.3
ounces.
b) If the company wants to have a Cpk of 1.5,
what is the maximum value of the standard deviation (σ) so that the
Cpk of the process indicates that the company can
