(1) “Can everyone really lead?”
(2) The question comes from the introduction (fitting with the
book) and the reference is from page 32.
(3) Fitting with the title, ‘Everyone Leads,’ I thought it was
interesting in the introduction to read how the authors colleagues
asked, “Can everyone really lead?” I think the question at hand is
something that everyone can relate too and have concerns about.
(4) In my opinion, yes everyone can lead. Everyone can lead,
think critically, and make a difference. I do however feel that not
everyone is capable of being in a leadership position of an
organization. For example, an individual can be capable of leading
others however they lack the ability to retain respect or have poor
interpersonal skills – anything that contributes to their own
demise.
I wanted to reference page 32, ‘Giselle John’ who was on a path
to homelessness and in the foster care system. Giselle was able to
transform her life and create numerous successful opportunities in
the foster care system for others to follow in her path. Giselle is
clearly able to lead and run an organization and she should be
immensely proud of herself.
So, what are your thoughts?
