ECG in this experiment?
As a functional test for heart, electrocardiography (ECG) was
performed on all experimental rats before injection and prior to
euthanasia. Rats were anesthetised using 5% isofluorane and
maintained at 2% during the ECG with 1-1.5 L/min of oxygen. The ECG
traces were recorded using AD Instruments (Power Laboratories). The
electrical potentials were recorded for 1-2 minutes with
LabChart 8 software provided by AD Instruments (Power
Laboratories). After performing ECG, the data were visualised using
LabChart 8 software. The peak values of P and R points at three
different segments of ECG from each rat were individually extracted
and analysed.
