2) Use the data for 2005 US waste composition (Table 5-2). Assume that food waste, paper and paperboard, and 50% of yard waste to be rapidly biodegradable (RB) and rubber and leather, textile, wood and 50% of yard waste to be slowly biodegradable (SB), and the rest to be inert. Estimate the chemical composition of RB and SB fractions of the organic portion of the waste and determine the total amount of biogas and biogas generation rate (similar to Example 11-8) that can be derived from the waste.
