Drug Diversion is a major issue that as a nurse you need to becognizant of.
As a coworker with other healthcare providers, a fellow nurse,and as a future nurse leader, you need to be aware of the problemof substance abuse among healthcare providers.
It is mandatory to report this activity if it is observed by alicensed nurse.
As outlined in the Code of MassachusettsRegulations 244 CMR 9.03 (26) (pleaseread online) a nurse who holds a valid license and who directlyobserves another nurse engaged in any of the following shall reportthat nurse to the Board in accordance with Board guidelines:
