How is this morphological evidence consistent withendosymbiotic theory and the phylogeny of green algae and landplants as hypothesized by DeVries and Archibald (2018)? In otherwords, what is one possible evolutionary explanation for why algalchloroplasts are so varied, while plant chloroplasts are sosimilar?
