8. Groups A and B performed separate DNA extractions on the same specimen using the same extraction protocol. Their PCR products were run at 100 V for 45 minutes on a 1% agarose gel with the results shown below. Group A loaded PCR ladder (also shown below) in lane 1 , a positive control in lane 2 , a negative control in lane 3 , and their DNA sample in Lane 4. Group B loaded the same sequence of ladder and PCR products in wells 6 through 9. Provide an analysis of these results; include approximate sizes of the amplified PCR products. If there are any unexpected results, provide a troubleshooting solution to improve the group's future PCR attempts using this protocol. (4 points)
