PROBLEM NO. 3. Five steel beams 3 meters in length each carrying a service dead load of 18.75 kN/m including its own weight and a service live load of 37.50 kN/m is placed on 2 girders with a length of 6 meter each shown in the figure. The size of the girder is limited to 375 mm x 600 mm. Steel covering (from par centroid to outermost fiber) is 100 mm for both tension and compression bars. Use f'c = 21 MPa and y = 414 MPa. Design the girder. Let the unit weight of concrete be 24 kN/m
