QUESTION 1 Jasa Gemilang is a car dealership company. The company sells both new and used cars, and offers car-servicing facility. Due to the new company policy, the company manager has decided to upgrade their car-servicing system. As a database designer, you are assigned to design the new database system according to the following requirements. a) b) • A salesperson may sell many cars, but each car is sold by only one salesperson whose ID, name and telephone number are recorded. A customer may buy many cars, but each car is sold to only one customer. Each customer has a unique IC number, name, telephone number and address whereas each car has a serial number, model, colour and year of production. A salesperson writes an invoice for each car being sold which records the ID, date and customer information. The invoice will be later sent to the customer. • Besides car purchase, a customer may just come in to have his or her car serviced. When a customer takes one or more cars in for repair or service, one service ticket is written for each car, which highlights the car serial number and its problems inclusive of possible parts needed by the cars. • A car brought in for service can be worked on by many mechanics, and each mechanic may work on many cars. Mechanics' information such as ID and name are also recorded in the database. Draw a complete Entity Relationship Diagram based on the information given above.
