Part A
Select FIVE separate journal entries from The Assassin’s Cloak(or the source of your choice) that you findstrange/noteworthy/compelling/significant/etc. For each selection,write a short commentary in which you 1) explain why you find theentry significant, and 2) explain how (or whether) the entry servesas a reflection of the historical circumstances in which it waswritten. This latter requirement might require a bit of research;if you conduct any, be sure to cite your sources!
Part B
Select FIVE historical events and write a brief introduction toeach (don’t assume your reader is already familiar with them). Onceyou’ve introduced your five events, write five fictional journalentries to accompany each. Be sure to characterize WHO it isbriefly that is making the entry (i.e., write a short biographicalnote about each of your fictional diarists). It is permissible inPart B to base two of your fictional entries on the same event.
