How would you test if a cytosolic protein is degraded byubiquitination? Explain.
A. Check if protein has a lysine
B. Tag protein with GFP and monitor its stability overtime
C. Add chloroquine to disrupt lysosomal function and detectprotein level by western blot analysis
D. Monitor the level of this protein after cells have beentreated with a translation inhibitor to prevent new proteinsynthesis
E. Mutate the lysine(s) that are found to be ubiquitinated inthis protein and determine if mutant protein is more stable
