During the laboratory experiment, a student positions two lenses to form a compound microscope. The objective and eyepiece have focal lengths of 0.40 cm and 3.0 cm, respectively. The lenses are 4.9 cm apart and an object is placed 0.50 cm in front of the objective lens. (a) Draw a ray diagram and locate the position of the final image (b) Mathematically determine the position of the final image.
