A uniform thin rodof mass m = 1.7 kg andlength L = 1.8 m can rotate about anaxle through its center. Four forces are acting on it as shown inthe figure. Their magnitudesare F1 = 5.5 N, F2 = 1.5 N, F3 = 11.5 Nand F4 = 16 N. F2 actsa distance d = 0.25 m from the centerof mass.

a) Calculate the magnitude τ1 of the torque due toforce F1, in newton meters.
b) Calculate the magnitude τ2 ofthe torque due to force F2 in newtonmeters.
c) Calculate themagnitude τ3 of the torque due toforce F3 in newtonmeters. d) Calculate the magnitude τ4 of thetorque due to force F4 in newtonmeters. e)Calculate the angular acceleration α of thethin rod about its center of mass in radians per square second. Letthe counter-clockwise direction be positive.
