SECTION A (Total 65 marks) Background The world faced a global pandemic due to Covid-19 in 2020 and 2021. Many countries had to take drastic measures to curb the spread of the deadly virus. Frontline healthcare workers bore high risks to serve the public during the difficult time. It is important that we help to improve their work environments and processes so that they can concentrate on providing quality services. Requirements You must demonstrate written proficiency by producing a report of not more than 13 pages (including diagrams, but excluding the cover page, and the reference list) in Microsoft Word 2010 or later (*.docx) format with Times New Roman fonts of size 12 and single line spacing. Key illustrations and diagrams should be shown in the main report. You must address the following questions in sequence. Your analysis and the written report shall be developed in the context of the healthcare industry, your chosen hospital and its environment. Question 1 Assume there is a pandemic now due to a new virus. You are the R&D Director heading a team of researchers in a pharmaceutical company. Your team is working hard to race time in developing a new vaccine to tackle the virus. Apply Garvin's framework of Product Quality Dimensions to identify as many quality dimensions as possible that your effort shall focus on For each chosen dimension, define the quality in terms of the new vaccine to be developed, and describe how your team will achieve this quality. You shall explain why other quality dimensions are not chosen. Note: You may have to adapt some quality dimensions' definitions, e.g., serviceability, to suit your vaccine as a product, so as to maximise its usefulness. (22 marks)
