A truck is travelling from Hamar and crossing a bridge with length of 36 m as shown in Figure below. Assume the truck can travel in either direction along the centre of the deck, so that of the load shown is transferred to each of the two side trusses. Using appropriate method: A) Construct influence line for force in members KD & KC of the bridge truss and compute the maximum live force (tension and compression) that can be developed in both members due to a moving 18-kN truck shown in Figure below. B) Predict the stability of bridge structure if one member is added a joint I and connected to joint F (becoming member IF).
