Laarna names the newly created hybrid of orchid flower as "Lady GiGi" because the flower is especially fragrant and colorful. After several generations of reproduction, the new hybrid of orchid flower has attained a stable appearance and various consistent characteristics. The new flower Lady GiGi can be used for producing perfumes. Laarna intends to sell the flower and its seeds to large biotech corporations so that she can settle her family's debt. (b) (c) (i) Identify relevant IP rights and illustrate statutory requirements related to the protection of the new hybrid of an orchid flower. (6 marks) (ii) An orchid farm "Queen of Philippine Flowers Ptd Ltd" is interested in marketing the new hybrid of orchid flower worldwide. List the rights that Laarni has over the new hybrid of orchid flower when dealing with the orchid farm.
