In Absence (P – A) Test, the yellow color indicatescoliform is present. Clear water or no change in color indicatesthat coliforms are absent. Blue fluorescence indicates that E.coli is present. No fluorescence indicates that E. coli isabsent. In the Presence-Absence test, your sample turned yellow but did notfluoresce blue under the UV light. Does your result indicatepresence of E. coli? Why or why not?
