The equilibrium constant for the formation ofCu(CN) 4 2- is 2.0 x10 30 . Calculate the value ofpCu 2+ , i.e.-log[Cu 2+ ], if 2.46 g of CuCl 2are dissolvedin 1,000 L of a 0.871 M NaCN solution. Theaddition of CuCl 2 does not affect the volume(the final volume is always 1,000 L).
