A 2.75g sample of solid aluminum carbide, AlC3, was allowed toreact with water. The acetlyene, C2H2, produced by the reaction,below, was collected over water.
2AlC3(s) + 6H2O(l) --> 3C2H2(g) + 2Al(OH)3.
The acetylene was collected at 26oC and 825torr. what is the volume(L) of dry acetylene?
P(H2O) = 25.2 torr ( at 26oC)
