GLS #1: Consider a square bar with a length of 28.5 cm andcross-sectional dimensions of 2.75 cm X 2.75 cm. One end iskept at a constant temperature of 25 oC while theopposite side of the bar is kept at 100 oC. There is a uniform heat generation within the bar with amagnitude of 3000 W/m3. Solve for the temperaturedistribution over the length of the bar both analytically andnumerically. For the numeric solution, use a total of 12nodes (including the boundary nodes) that are uniformly spacedalong the bar. The thermal conductivity of the material is0.35 W/m-K. Compare the numeric and analytic solution byplotting T(x) for both solutions on the same graph. Theanalytic solution should be plotted as a line with no symbols andthe numeric solution should be plotted as only points at the nodelocations, with no lines.
