Giada is running along a street from point A to point B with a constant speed v = 27 km/hr. Treat the problem as 1D. A speaker is located at the point C, between A and B, and emitting the same sound both toward A and towards B at a frequency of 3kHz. Assuming a warm 20°C day (check sound speed on the book): 1. What is the frequency of the sound which Giada hears when she is running towards the speaker and she is 3 m away? 2. What is the frequency of the sound which Giada hears when she is running towards the speaker and she is 0.5 m away? 3. What is the frequency of the sound which Giada hears when she is running away from the speaker? 4. Will Giada hear an abrupt change of frequency at some point? If yes, where and why?
