How many grams of NaCl are needed to elevate the boiling point of 0.750 gallons of water, such that the water boils at 102.5°C? Show all work and format your answer to THREE significant digits with units. I believe Kb would be 0.512 degrees C/m ? My understanding is that Kb is a constant. I believe the equation to be used is delta Tb = Kb/m where delta T = change in boiling temperature (so 102.5-100) and m=molality. Just not sure how to get grams NaCl from this or maybe I'm not even using the right equation... help!
