Take the positive direction to be the direction that the 10 kg block is initially moving. If these blocks collide in a perfectly inelastic collision, what is their final velocity? QUESTION 9 If the blocks collide in an elastic collision, what is the velocity of the 10 kg block after the collision? Hint: You will have to solve two equations and two unknowns for an elastic collision.
