A telephone service provider would like to build a datawarehouse to keep information about its past and presentactivities. The company offers a number of different call programsto its customers.
The company would like to organize a data warehouse suchthat following information can be retrieved/computed from thewarehouse later on.
(1) Find, total amountcollected per call program, per year and per program andyear.
(2) Find the totalduration of calls made by customers per city, per year, per month,per day.
(3) Find, the totalnumber of weekend calls made from the customers (callers) per cityto the customers (callee) per city, per year, per month andyear.
(4) Total duration ofinternational calls started by the customers (callers) per countryper year.
(5) Total amountcollected from customers per city, per program and peryear.
A call program is described by aunique name, price per call, and a short description.
A telephone call is described by a phone number of acustomer who issued a call (caller), phone number of a customer whoreceived a call (callee).
A call belongs to either a classof local calls or international calls.
A customer is described by aunique phone number (unique), first name and last name, andcity.
