QUESTION FIVE A three-phase to single-phase cycloconverter employs three-phase-positive and negative-group converters. Each converter is supplied from a delta/star transformer with per phase turn ratio of 2: 1. The supply voltage is 400 V, 50 Hz. The RL load has R = 202 and at low output frequency. 2 woL = 1.50. In order to account for communication overlap and thyristor turn-off time, the firing angle in the inversion mode should not exceed 160°. Calculate (a) Value of the fundamental RMS output voltage, (b) RMS output current, and (c) Output power.
