Overview In this assignment, you will model RC & RL circuits using a type of Pspice analysis - Transient analysis, which gives you a plot of voltage, current, or power as a function of time. Circuit Each student will have individual component values. The circuits to be modeled are shown below. The component values are given in the table below. Theoretical calculations Solve your circuit on pencil and paper using Differential Equation approach to find Vo(t) and iz(t).

Tutorial on simulating RC and RL circuits The switch (SW_topen) can be found in the Eval library. There are two properties of the switch that we need to change. To do so, double click on the switch to get to the Property Editor window for the switch. Change RCLOSED and ROPEN as shown in the figure below. <Current properties > Help RCLOSED Reference ROPEN 1Meg C 1Meg PSpice Template U2 S. 1Open-@TOPEN tuen-TRAN Relosed-@RCLOSED Repen-@ROPEN 0.01 U2 S. 1Open-@TOPEN turan @TTRAN Relused-@RCLOSED Repen @ROPEN 0.01 Replace RCLOSED 0.01 with 0.0000001 and ROPEN 1 Meg with le12 You will need to use the "Current Marker" and "Voltage Marker" to view plotted simulated results. Lastly, make sure you choose the correct analysis type and value of the "Run to time". Run to time will be at least five time constants for each plot.
