It is carried out in a semi-continuous reactor. A 0.2 molar solution of NaOH is fed at a rate of 0.04 mol/min to 1200 m³ of a 0.25 molar solution of CHCOOC2Hs. The reactor must not operate above 35 °C and it is assumed that k = 5.2x10^-5 m³/mol's at 20 °C with E = 42,810 J/mol.
