Figure 1 shows the preliminary design (dimensions in [mm]) of adrum brake system with internal shoes. The maximum contact pressureof the friction material must not exceed the value of 1 [MPa], witha coefficient of friction reported by the manufacturer of 0.34. Thebrake capacity or braking torque shall be 600 [N-m]. It isrequested to complete the design of the brake considering arotation of the drum in the clockwise direction, equal drivingforce in both shoes and equal width of the same.
