There are two genes known to determine coat color in sheep. The agout gene determines whether pigmentation will be made and where pigmentation will be located. A dominant allele, A, leads to an albino (white) phenotype and the a allele leads to a pigmented coat color determined at the brown geno. The dominant 8 allele leads to a black coat color and the recessive b allele leads to a brown coat color. a. Which gene is the epistatic gene in this scenario (agout or brown)? b.
