For the next lab challenge, please design experiments that allowyou to calculate ALL the following:
Gravitational Potential Energy of some object
Spring Energy of some object
Kinetic Energy of some object
Conservation of Mechanical Energy of some object
Report Requirements: Introduction: Introduce the topic, discussany relevant background information and introduce what you will bedoing for this lab. (10 points)
Methods: Describe each the experiments you will do to calculatethe gravitational potential energy of an object, the springpotential energy of an object, the kinetic energy of an object, andthe conservation of mechanical energy of an object. There are avariety of online resources available to help guide you inexperiment design and set up (25 points).
Results: Include relevant equations and calculations for eachequation used. Include all data collected that allowed you to findthe different types of energy and demonstrate the conservation ofmechanical energy. Include a video showing all of your experiments.(40 points)
Discussion/Conclusions: Discuss your results, what errors couldyou have run into in calculating the information? What assumptionsdid you need to make in order to calculate this information? (20points)
References - all reports should include at least 1 reference (5points)
Report should be submitted as a word or pdf file and no morethan 3 pages single spaced (not including figures, pictures, tablesand graphs). Any images can be included in the report or attachedseparately. Video files should be provided separately via email.Please make sure all sections listed above a clearly labeled in thereport.
