I have an industry-specific question based on your post andwould like to hear your opinion. I have, in the past, had a dentistwho I always felt was trying to ¨upsell¨ me on services. About tenyears ago, I did not have dental insurance, and my dentist wasaware. However, it still felt like my dentist was constantly tryingto get me to buy overpriced products in his office or have me getservices that were not really necessary. I had a similar experiencewith my old eye doctor, too. I have since moved and found newdoctors who do not do that, but could that be based on salary pluscommission pay structures?
Is that ethical? Justify.
