(Diagram #1) Making One Unit (One Backpack) Cost of Material Luxury Backpack Return on Investment Sale Price Labor Overhead Total Cost Cost Per (Rent, S Hour (10 hours @ $15) $ 100 $ Electricity, etc) 150 $ 50 $ 400 Net Margin Profit (Gross Revenue (Always %) (Always $) Revenue) (After deducting costs) S 600 $ 200 33% $ 200

Assignment: In your workbook, create a tab, working sequentially towards the right, titled: Lesson 1. Duplicate Diagram 1. But change the costs and sales revenue to create a margin of 15%. Make sure you are using basic math formulas in Excel. Something like these: Costs =SUM(B6:F6), the margin, =H5/G5, etc. Basically, you should not be doing any addition in your head or with a calculator, just use the Excel formulas. If you get stuck, google for a solution, try to contact your pal or your tutor, try to contact me with a text message. :)
