In countries outside Africa, the average is E = 0.36. Assume that this number is known. We wish to
examine whether there is higher ethnic diversity in Africa than in the rest of the world.
a. Set up a set of hypotheses to test the claim of higher ethnic diversity in Africa.
b. Set up a statistical model that makes it possible to test the hypothesis. What assumptions do you need
do to get a normally distributed test observer?
c. Implement the hypothesis with a 5% significance level.
