$ Simulation Assignment • Here we will make a simple simulation that is related to your project. • A solar-cell can be simulated via a circuit of several basic elements. As follows: Light Idiode When it shines on the oil, the Icune is the cell begin to generate power Click to Continue Simulation Assignment • A solar-cell can be simulated via a circuit of several basic elements. • It is a circuit of a current source, a diode and a resistor in parallel, connected to a resistor in series. • The diode is the panel operation in the dark. (Dark current) • IL is the current that is proportional to the illumination (here you can treat it as a DC current source) series resistance Current IDa rk shunt resistance Voltage
Simulation Assignment Shunt resistacnce (RSA) is an internal resistor that shunts or "shorts” the two sides of a solar panel. • Typically around - 100 KN Series resistance (RS) is a resistor that limits the current output of the panel. Simulation Assignment • You are to recreate such a simulated solar panel in KICAD • Connect the panel to a DC voltage source. Sweep the voltage from 1 to 1 V. Plot the current through the cell vs voltage Adjust the parameters of IL, RS, and RSh to match the current vs voltage curve provided. Submit the KiCAD project, and the screenshot of the simulation in a ZIP file for credit.
