2. Working in teams of four, obtain a die and print the game of amines N cards and substituent/wild cards. Each person receives an N card, and leaves it face up. Leave the remaining cards face down. 3. Each person rolls the die and records the number on their score card for part 1, round 1. The numbers correspond to the classification of the amine. a) 1 or 2 on the die is a primary (1° amine) b) 3 or 4 on the die is a secondary (2° amine) c) 5 or 6 on the die is a tertiary (3° amine) 4. In turn, each person takes a substituent/wild card from the top of the deck. a) If a substituent card is drawn, place it next to their N card. This will eventually look like a molecule. b) If a wild card is drawn perform the following actions: i) Cyclo (1) Put it back in the deck and draw another card if a 1° amine was rolled (2) Place it on top of the N card if a 2° amine was rolled. If present, return the alkyl cards to the deck (keep any H cards). (3) Place it on top of the N card if a 3° amine was rolled. If present, keep 1 alkyl card and return the other alkyl card(s) to the deck. ii) Aniline-place it on top of the N card and (1) If a 1° (2) If a 2 amine was rolled, return all alkyl cards to the deck. amine was rolled, if present keen 1 allod card and rotu
ii) Aniline place it on top of the N card and (1) If a 1° (2) If a 2° amine was rolled, return all alkyl cards to the deck. amine was rolled, if present, keep 1 alkyl card and return the other alkyl card(s) to the deck. (3) If a 3° amine was rolled, if present, keep up to 2 alkyl card(s) and return the other alkyl card(s) to the deck. iii) Quaternary salt - Place it on top of the N card, change the classification to 4° and add additional substituent(s) in turn. c) Just one wild card per person, per round. If a second wild card is drawn, set it aside and draw another card. 5. Play continues in turn until a player can no longer accept substituent cards. Then, the turn passes to the next person, until all players are done. 6. On the score card, write the substitutive IUPAC name for the molecule.
